Pre christmas

The logs on the fire were glowing red and the lights on the Christmas tree twinkled. Festive music emanated from the surround sound speakers. The living room floor covered in odd bits of Christmas wrapping paper and tinsel. The only thing missing was the snow. The sun shone brightly outside and the trees swung gently in the moderate breeze. It was cold out there, but I was warm and happy sat on the carpeted floor wrapping presents.

‘Last Christmas you gave me your heart and the very next day you gave it away’………

Today is going to be a good day. A rare day off relaxing and just chilling. Later I shall be pampering myself before a night out painting the town red with the girls.

I am Wondering what dress to wear I have been telling myself I would be wearing the same as I wore last weekend as I really like the dress.   But (there is always a but) I don’t like to wear the same dress on consecutive weekends….people might think I never got changed 🙂

I may just use different accessories, shoes and do my makeup different.

‘You better watch out, you better not cry, better not pout, I’m telling you why. Santa Claus is coming to town’ ……

Mrs Sox is in her Kitchen. There is the unmistakeable aroma of mince pies baking and the sound of her singing to herself, content with preparing for the feast to come.

The sun is over the yard arm and the wine is in the fridge, wanting to be sampled, so a small libation is in order I think. Looks Like the fire needs a few more logs too……
