The last few weeks have been taken up with DIY and man things. My gloom only lasted a short time and as usual I came out of it wanting to ‘do’ things.
We had a couple of conifers that were too close to the house and the fence, so I decided that they had to come out. I decided to purchase a chainsaw and do the job myself. All proved easy enough and now the conifers are now logs and will be heating for next year when they dry out. Being the green thinking type, I also have planted two new trees to replace the ones I have cut down.
I have also been overhauling the brakes on Mrs Sox’s car new discs, pads all round and new brake fluid. When I had the callipers off I noticed one was leaking so decided to replace it with a refurbished one. All is now good.
After all that, it was time to pamper and buy clothes. I have bought myself a nice chiffon dress and some shoes. I will be wearing these on my next evening out.
Mrs Sox stayed inside while I was cutting the trees down. When I had finished she came outside with a cup of tea and cake. She had a big smile on her face and said to me ‘not many men cut trees down with pink nail varnish on’
“not many men cut trees down with pink nail varnish on”
It is all about maintaining standards. 🙂
